John

I try to always critically think.

Facts first then emotions.

Good Americans have never stopped helping others, but yes we could always do more especially in “sweat” equity.

Money is easier to give than time.

As far as helping the “Left,” that is how American got where it is now.

Critical Thinking.

Remember the fable:

“Farmer and the Snake”

A Farmer walked through his field one cold winter morning. On the ground lay a Snake, stiff and frozen with the cold. The Farmer knew how deadly the Snake could be, and yet he picked it up and put it in his bosom to warm it back to life.

The Snake soon revived, and when it had enough strength, bit the man who had been so kind to it. The bite was deadly and the Farmer felt that he must die.

As he drew his last breath, he said to those standing around:

Moral

Learn from my fate not to take pity on a scoundrel.

Give snakes a wide berth until you can identify them Friend or For.

Which is why the gub'ment dole is so destructive to everything good about human people. America needs to end welfare and return the ministry of charity to the church. John Rosemond, aka the Boman, aka Johnny Too Bad

And so does an honest living need to be earned, which is how a person also earns self-respect, which is quite different by far from the demon of self-esteem. God help me if I ever again esteem myself. I learned that lesson the hard way. John Rosemond

Yes, indeedy, respect goes a long way toward forming good relationships, but the truthful fact is, it is impossible to respect some people. Not impossible to love them, but impossible to respect. Love is unconditional or it ain't love. Respect must be earned. John Rosemond, Official Court Jester

Bo: Agreed. In a society being flooded with entitlements, several things still need to be earned — and respect is one of them.

Reminded me of the pets we had and have now...all very loving creatures. it would be better if everyone would ENJOY THE MOMENT and JUST BE HAPPY TO BE ALIVE like the animals who live without any time constraints. .

This video dashes all our preconceived notions of how animals should behave toward one another, and opens the door to new ways of connecting. Seems to me we should always try to set a good example and not pass judgement on others based on our own preconceived notions. Respect goes a long way toward fostering good relationships.

John,

Great video that brought a smile to my face. Animals can be good examples for humans to follow.

It sure would be a step in the right direction for us to actually get to know people instead of listening to opinions about people from others that don't know the people they are talking or writing about. As I look at countries around the world, my assessment is that we would all be far better off if most leaders would simply step back and let the 95% of their citizens interact directly

with others. Most leaders are the ones perpetuating drama between countries.

Happy New Year and let's all try to make things better.
