My bad as I did not know that Ayn Rand was a Russian immigrant to the US!
This short 5 minute PragerU video does a superior job at connecting what Ayn is trying to communicate to us — and it’s more relevant than ever today…

One of the reasons why I’m showing this, is that it quite clearly states that the solution to the stressful times we are in, is for citizens to use their brain — i.e, to Critically Think!
At 3:48 it says that this is about “the power of the individual and the power of reason.”
It goes on to state: “The individual’s reasoning mind is his tool of knowledge — his only means of understanding what is True or False, how the world works, what is good or bad for his life. This is the theme of Rand’s work.”
“In order to thrive and achieve happiness, the individual must think for himself…”
Most people will nod in agreement, and may even say that this is obvious. However, regarding every societal issue we have (energy, climate, education, election integrity, religion, etc.) Critical Thinkers are as rare as hen’s teeth.
The answer, again, is that we need to properly instill this skill in K-12 children — which will pay enormous dividends when they become adults (e.g., voting citizens).

There is a lot to like about her philosophical presentation of society but in the end it seems to be nothing more than another promise of a utopia built upon the roots of the human intellect. Basically it's the philosophy of existentialism--another ism devoid of God, just as are Marxism, socialism, and communism. I think it is just another attempt by the fallen angels to push their religion of Satanism--now renamed Humanism--on our society.
I think her first novel the somewhat autobiographical " We the Living " is her most poignant
