Thomas Szasz is one of my heroes. I read "The Myth of Mental Illness" in graduate school - it was not an assignment, mind you - and it planted a seed that eventually became a career. I am licensed to practice psychology. Here are the FACTS: Mental health professionals don't know what they're talking about, don't know what they're doing, shouldn't be licensed, shouldn't be "expert" witnesses in court, and states' attorneys general should prosecute state psychology boards and organizations for deceptive business practices and violations of the RICO Act. Psychological tests are bogus. Psychological diagnoses are bogus. The term "biochemical imbalance" is a lie. Psychiatric drugs don't reliably outperform placebos. Psychiatric drugs CREATE biochemical imbalances.. Psychology lacks meaningful practice standards. The only explanation for the public veneration of psychology is clever marketing. I will publicly debate any psychologist who disagrees with me. I will invite national media to the debate. Please, will some psychologist take me up on this? John...the 2-minute video by the doctor aligns totally with my thinking. Science would solve many of our problems, if we would let it. Teaching and employing the Scientific Method would be a giant step toward letting science solve our problems.

Don: Yes. Instead of real Science we are immersed in political science — which is unscientific baloney desiged to economically benefit some party (e.g., Big Pharma), or to advance some self-serving political agenda (e.g., population control).

Thank you for posting the great Dr. Szasz. His writings are invaluable.

It is also true that most doctors are not scientists and not critical thinkers. And the history of medical science does not give one confidence in the morality or intellectual integrity of scientists. See: Asperger’s Children, a book that should give anyone pause about putting faith (all faith is blind) in scientists.

I agree with Feynman:

"Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts"

Feynman was a superior scientist. Like any other human he made mistakes. That quote — taken out of context — is simply inaccurate. He would acknowledge that if he was here speaking. The true definition is "Science is a Process". There is nothing in that having anything to do with experts.

If you can control the language you can control the people.

Control the people, control the country.

Why are so many definitions being changed?

Why are so many people being graduated from schools (secondary and tertiary) with less than an elementary school vocabulary? With no understanding of cause and effect.

They're graduated without the building blocks that will allow them to advance in anything.

Schools, colleges and universities are producing modern slaves. - AND they're being paid very well to do so.

Did anyone notice that all of the medication commercials have long lists of serious side effects and disclaimers at the bottom of the screen but the Covid shot had nothing at the bottom of the screen and only stated a few minor side effects such as redness at the injection site? All politics and no science.

As AJR noted below, "People simply go along to get along."

The side effects disclosure is a legal requirement to control legal actions. The pharmaceutical companies have immunity from lawsuits concerning the Covid vaccines. So there is no need to tell what the side effects are.

Stephanie: Yes most people do, which is why I am pushing for Critical Thinking to be properly taught in K-12, so that it eventualy becomes the norm.

How will non-critical thinkers teach critical thinking in a setting designed for indoctrination? Can critical thinking even be taught? Students aren’t even taught to read and write well.

“[The] erroneous assumption is to the effect that the aim of public education is to fill the young of the species with knowledge and awaken their intelligence, and so make them fit to discharge the duties of citizenship in an enlightened and independent manner. Nothing could be further from the truth. The aim of public education is not to spread enlightenment at all; it is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe level, to breed and train a standardized citizenry, to put down dissent and originality.” — Mencken

Nicholas: I do not subscribe to Mencken's opinion... Yes, teachers need to also get on the band wagon. That said we need to solve one problem at a time — as I'm starting with the Science curriculum Tackling too many problems is what has happened to date, and nothing gets done.

I wonder how you think so many kids graduate without basic skills if teachers are capable.

Those students who major in education are near the bottom in SAT scores, 300 points behind majors in physical sciences.

How many “true” scientists took courses in critical thinking? (None?) What is your scientific evidence that such a thing can be taught?

I suggest that you are not critically thinking about the nature of public education.

AGREED!!! Critical thinking should be taught K-12! I had a father who taught me to play chess at seven...and it took me 4 years before I won one game. He was a voracious reader, but he said..."Don't believe everything you read, just because it is in a book." I was taught to question what i read. He was absolutely right. My high school: Taylor Allderdice High School was one of the best in the city of Pittsburgh in the 1940s and 1950s. It was listed among the top ten percent of high schools in the nation. Most of its 3000 students took college required courses; algebra, geometry, 2 years foreign language, physics, etc There was a Chess Club that met after school. It also had debate groups. The parents of most students promoted education first and foremost. The Vice Principal backed up the principal...and handled any who stepped out of line with a paddle. We did not need armed guards in the hallways. Today, there are armed guards in the hallways.

Barbara: TY for the background and support. Properly teaching Critical Thinking in K-12 will have enormous benefits to students and our country. (See <https://c19science.info/Education/CT_is_THE_Answer.pdf> for examples.) However, we have allowed Marxist to take over our K-12 curricula, and they have the opposite agenda. We simply MUST fix this, ASAP.

What’s more toxic “Zoloft or beer?”

Exactly Doctor! Thank you for logically pointing out the facts regarding treatment of these

non-issues people think is wrong with them.

Quacks are, IMO destroying our society! It’s not science it’s a mess! It’s also, IMO, a huge piece how, Obama wants too:

“Fundamentally Transform America!”

And it’s working, on all fronts and all levels of society and government.

“Infiltrate the minds and the agencies.”

This is exactly why, what has been happening has happened. Nobody wants to take a stand for what is right and wrong. People simply go along to get along.

The only way to keep people calm, non-critical-thinker’s while a “controlled-burn” tears the fabric of our society and country apart, is by medications.

I’ve been saying for decades now how there’s a pill for everything and everyone needs a pill.

It’s simple deduction when you understand it’s not what’s being

“done for us rather to us.”

Slowly, the heat continues to increase, a “slow-boil” frog will stay nice and warm until the temperature cooks the frog from the inside out.

This article summarizes exactly, the recipe being used to culminate, every aspect of a changing America. Which will literally and ultimately be America’s demise.

May God Bless America and The Entire World!

One word Bill43- “Obama!” That’s who and his band of “Useful Idiots” of course.

That man literally hates America and what’s happening today is a “Fundamentally Transform America” which Obama said his first term. He also said he wanted to wear an earpiece while someone else was president. Haha! Now you know a good part of why, why America is being “gutted!” Thank you Bill43. We must continue to keep the lights shining on our country for there is no better place on earth!

I’ll be damned if a handful of “Marxist / Socialist / Communist ideologies like Obama / Harris / etc. will take our country away from “We the People!” We must not give up.

Thank you again Bill43

I believe it’s called a “public-private partnership.” This provides the opportunity for those who are involved, never to be held accountable.

What has been learned about the wildfires in California is exactly the same thing. Newsom pointed the finger at the “locals” and the local water supply company pointed back to the Governor.

There’s no accountability for which anyone can be blamed. This is why, Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street can implement whatever whenever they choose, D.E.I initiatives, etc. and these destructive tactics reach mainstream organizations.

It’s only going to get worse! Blackrock changed the ESG acumen and it’s now called “ Transition Investment” I believe. Blackrock infiltrated all state and local federal politicians which again, nobody can be held accountable for whatever failures may occur.

It’s completely illegal and there are many lawsuits being filed against Blackrock. I believe this is why today we’ve heard how companies are stopping these destructive D.E.I training programs, etc.

Time isn’t nor can anyone as in

“We the People’s” do a heck of a lot about what’s happening to “Us not for Us!”

Thanks Bill43, I don’t know much about many things. I only understand little bits of intricacies affecting our lives, so anything you may know or have insight into is appreciated.

I do believe this is the only way we can help each other learn better while sharing information we do know a little bit about.
