Looking at science through the prism of some dumbass political lenses. Why so many are befuddled about what is true. I do believe Truth is making a comeback of sorts.

The opposite? Meaning what? And no, most people were not aware. It’s only been in the last couple years that people are waking up to it. Especially with the woke, gender BS, and, of course, Covid opened a lot of eyes when they realized their children were learning garbage. They always go too far and seem to have very little self awareness.

MLK: The opposite to closing DOEd is to reform it. It's all explained in the link I posted before.

Before I answer, I’ll read this. But, I’m all for ridding the US DOEd, they have been a Democrat political organization for decades, it’s been their money cow, a partnership filled with waste, corruption, social and indoctrinating Maoist Cultural style methods, at first hidden in the whole language, math, science indoctrination ideology and then not so hidden aggressive totalitarian brainwashing.

MLK: That is the conclusion that most people come to. Critically Thinking about it results in the opposite answer.

I think, while he’s working at bringing about Peace to the world, while he’s trying the best he knows how to save America and the world from financial collapse, therefore, mass starvation, I think he’s making headway into the politically controlled educational system. The collapse of our educational system has been going on since the 60’s revolutionary fever dream. It will take some time, perhaps a few years. They’ve been pretty successful at indoctrination, brainwashing, dumbing down and activist training by destroying universal truth, universal knowledge and universal thought. If we survive, it will be because the people have had enough of the insanity.

MLK: We are already past the point of having enough — but the reaction is not appropriate (get rid of DOEd). That throws us from the frying pan into the fire. We need critically thinking people to get behind what is BY FAR the best strategy <https://criticallythinking.substack.com/p/to-save-america-we-must-transform>.

Totally agree, but the anti intelligent educational system manufacturing activists instead of thinking adults has already brought on the tsunami nearly drowning us all. I believe we’re in the “claw back” mode. Politics is being exposed for the population mass controlling power grab it was designed for.

MLK; indeed there are some hopeful signs. On the other hand, what is transpiring in our K-12 education system is horrifically bad, and will soon be a tsunami drowning us all.

The old school peer review process required physical proof of concept (empirical evidence).

Einstein’s second proof of relativity used existing physical proofs to reprove his mathematical theory of relativity. No matter how advanced computer models become, they still must exist in physical reality as defined by.

Henry: Yes, maybe a hundred years ago. Subsequently the Peer-Review process has become very compromised.

Possibly if Einstein could be disproved we could understand the magical improvement in elite brilliance and scientific accuracy since someone (unknown to me) has decided a better standard of proof than empirical accuracy.

I'm guessing Michael Kratsios. He's used that "Gold Standard" language before. From STAT news: : "Kratsios called for “gold-standard science” to address stalled scientific progress, criticizing rising biomedical research budgets for yielding incremental results. He emphasized reproducibility, transparency, and eliminating DEI initiatives, arguing they undermine merit-based research."

I made Grok do a deep dive on this. Its conclusion is this:

"Conclusion

Text Analysis: Kratsios’s language in his NAS speech and X posts strongly aligns with the EO’s “Gold Standard Science” principles and tone, making him a primary intellectual contributor to its scientific framework. RFK Jr.’s health-focused critiques likely influenced the EO’s CDC example and broader MAHA context, while Dr. Oz’s input was likely secondary, focused on health policy execution. The legalistic prose points to DPC or legal staff drafting, with Kratsios as a key influencer, not sole “brains.”

Contact for Kratsios: No direct contact is available, but...the OSTP contact form (ostpinfo@ostp.eop.gov) or mail a letter to the OSTP address, referencing his Substack work."

And he's active on X: @mkratsios47

All I can do, John. If you want the whole Grok inquiry result, let me know. It's over 8500 words long.

University science claims most often do not replicate. It is wrong. This EO needs serious implementation.

Deming noted that if work is going badly, asking the workers to fix things will not work, as workers are successful with the status quo. Change has to come from the TOP. Deming refused to work with anyone but the CEO of a company.

I like to refer back to earlier more real science in books and articles written decades ago by doctors practicing long-term real science and were not afraid to publish it to the public. I've gotten proven information to use myself in my own treatment, over "recommended" treatments today.(e.g., take niacin to make very good lipid panels as per decades use by Dr. Abram Hoffer, instead of statins, and take d-alpha tocoperol to dissolve and prevent blood clots proven over years by Wilford Shute, MD.). I also look to basics for health like sun bathing, real foods from the garden, sleep, etc. that avoids things someone is trying to sell to me.

Speaking of sunbathing, you might enjoy this article from Scientific American:

I canceled my subscription five years ago, after 53 years, because it took a sharp left turn into Wokeville when it was bought by the Nature Publishing Group, which is partly owned by the giant Chinese Communist Party publishing house Tencent. But friends occasionally send me rare worthwhile articles that aren't only about wokeness.

Van, thank you for your comments. I take full-body sunbaths by the pool when the sun is out, after mid-day. The sun has a zillion wavelengths that can help/cure most any disease you might have. You don't need a diagnosis to get a helio treatment. Forget "skin cancer", that's made up by the dermatologists so they can charge more money to tell you to wear toxic sunscreen, which stops vitamin D in your skin. Skin cancers are caused by a lack of sun exposure, like melanoma. I cover my head, neck, and hands with a towel, that screens out UV and lets in infrared, which is used to treat internal head problems. I'm fair and 30 minutes is plenty for me in the sun.

Light boxes are convenient, but cost money and are only a partial treatment for all the things that ails us. They can also give radiation exposure. That's good that she hit on the wavelengths that helped her. As for me, I'll let nature give me what I need.

How does AI compare to earlier science, maybe computer programming. AI is run-away science that's out distancing us, rapidly. It's too fast for us to get a handle on it. Something physical needs to happen to stop/slow it down, like a power failure.

True science is the basis for our moving forward... politically as well as technologically.

I'd add replicability as one of the requirements for true science (often Objectivity is assumed to include replicability).

Wallace: The EO did have replicability.. The main reason for a study not being replicable is that they violated one or more of the four keys of a Scientific Assessment.
