Well said as usual. This incident immediately brought me to tears because it demonstrated the hatred that has grown so rampant in our nation. Your last point says it all - we are not in control. God is, praise him.

FDR didn't wish Hitler a speedy recovery when Klaus von Stauffenberg tried to assassinate him.

That they rushed to wish Trump a speedy recovery proves that when they called him a Fascist and compared to him to Hitler, they knew they were lying.

Biden, Schumer, Pelosi, Schifferbrains, Waters, Joe and Mika, ... all knew they were lying. All they needed was one loose screw in one nutcase, and they worked hard to rattle one. Their crocodile tears don't fool us.

Was the kid groomed for this job by the nearby Antifa John Brown Gun club in Pittsburgh, starting when he was twelve years old?

They own this, even if they didn't plan it explicitly.

Words do matter. Reading the comments on a CNN article covering the shooting, I was sickened by the hatred expressed toward Trump. This horrific event could and may become a unifying force that moves the media and the current administration toward a more civilized political arena, but I doubt it.

Many on the left are suggesting the whole event was staged, as crazy as that sounds. Their reasoning is ridiculous, totally devoid of critical thinking, and they are desperate to find something, anything, to undermine the narrative that Trump emerged demonstrating courage from this attempt on his life and likely will go on to a resounding victory in November.

Why do people keep believing that video games don't teach people? What they learn is seldom good, but they do learn.

One of the best articles I have read. Yes, at this point in time, it is our soul that we can try to keep safe. As you stated John, we are not in charge of the big picture. Reminds me of Revelation, woe to the earth.... earth meaning people. A porous border, trying to bid in a rigged game... and we could exhaust ourselves listing problems. Despite it all, let's remind ourselves we are six feet above ground, and let this day we are on bring us some happiness. Write our own script this day we are in.

Nancy: TY. Yes, when we keep things in perspective, we will feel a lot better.

Great work, as always, John. There is a lot more to this event than meets the eye. It way take a while for the entire truth to be revealed. Clearly the Secret Service dropped the ball, and it appears that DEI may have played a role. We are seeing it everywhere ,now, from the airline industry to healthcare. If we don't return to critical thinking a lot of people will DIE from incompetence.

I truly believe your last comment!

Good will overcome Evil!

God has ALWAYS answered my prayers!

I never ask for any stupid stuff like riches-we don’t have a lot but we have enough for our retirement if we’re careful. Anything else we need He will provide!

For now my prayers are focused on President Trump!

Stay Safe and Well!!!

My critical thinking skills tell me we need to unite behand Donald Trump and do everything possible to keep him alive.

The most exaggerated term of the Left has been “dictator.” I recall when the former President made a passing remark about being a ‘dictator for a day’ to solve the problem on the southern border. I knew he had given pitch-fever bait to the media. Yes, for the public good, America must demand that educators dedicate significant time to unbiased, objective thinking exercises (e.g, 45-minute daily activities).

Additionally, higher education must stop

politicizing the programs that prepare teachers, principals, and other educators. The UNC Board of Governors recently took the first step by dismantling DEI programs on the 17 campuses. This is not enough, however. Every high school teacher and college professor in this state should be required to teach the fall of the Roman Empire. The study should be long-term.

We’ve had our wake-up call.

John,

Unfortunately nothing shocks me anymore with what’s goin on in this great country of ours.

If you knew my circle of friends that would tell you I sadly believed this assassination attempt was a distinct possibility. Now a reality of the times. I pray to God please protect President Trump so he can save our country!!!!

The fact that the police were told about the gunman crawling on the roof three minutes before the shooting is staggering, and why aren't all the roofs surrounding the area posted with agents? Wouldn't that make a certain amount of sense?

I don't think that will make the news. Too much of a furor would be raised Like the BBC guy's interviews did. I shoot, maybe only a .38 handgun, but I know a bullet hole when I see it. And Trump doesn't wear clothes with round holes in them.
