Wait so your claim is that they are legally stealing the election by dumbing down future generations? I’m not clear what exactly is the point you’re making here.

John Droz's avatar

Ian: My apologies as I thought I said it quite clearly.

The Left has taken over and engineered the K-12 education system so that it annually produces 3± Million new voters: 1) who have been thoroughly propagandized with Left-leaning ideology, and 2) who have been trained to be compliant conformists (i.e. NOT critical thinkers).

That combination is an extraordinary threat to the American Experiment.

If you were talking about college educated people (past K-12) that theory might hold up better as they cote democrat and non-college educated (K-12 at most) people vote republican overall.

However women are more likely to vote democrat whether college educated or not.

additionally the wealthiest Americans vote and back democrats.

It’s reductionist and incorrect is my point; and frankly it is also a huge stretch to say this is how they are stealing elections and frankly setting your argument for mockery: “they’re cheating by getting more educated!”

John Droz's avatar

Ian: Please re-read what I wrote. They are cheating by MIS-Educating our youth — not educating them more.

Further, K-12 education is the entire foundation of higher education. Without the propaganda and anti-critical thinking efforts drilled in the many years of K-12, the current higher education situation would barely exist.

I agree with you that the educational system needs reforms, perhaps even an overhaul because I think we’re using the wrong metrics to measure performance.

Whether that translates to democrat voters, I’m not so sure but critical thinking is something I don’t see a whole lot of regardless of political affiliation, age, race, religion, etc.

Ian: I spelled out FIFTEEN (15) major upsides of reforming DOEd <https://criticallythinking.substack.com/p/to-save-america-we-must-transform>. There is no other option that has 1% the upsides of doing that!

'CROSSED THE RUBICON': Colorado House Passes Bill Treating as Child Abuse Dissent From Transgender Orthodoxy

“The Democrat Party convened the General Assembly on the Lord’s Day for their worship of the leviathan of state to cram through some of the most egregious attacks on the fabric of our nation,” state Rep. Ken DeGraaf, a Republican, told The Daily Signal.

Rep. Jarvis Caldwell, another Republican, accused the House Democrats of silencing debate on the issue because they knew their position is unpopular.

“We have now crossed the Rubicon of parental rights with this bill,” he added.

Caldwell noted that the Democrat majority invoked Rule 16, which calls the question and ends debate, leading to a vote. “I believe they did this to silence us because they know how much negative attention this has been getting nationwide,” he said in a video message Sunday.

Thanks for writing and teaching others about this massive problem. Schools create their own problems by hiring too many administrators, running excessive levies, hiring unqualified teachers who waste time and bore students with their ideology taking first place. Home schooling takes a couple hours a day. Kids want to learn and be with those who can honestly teach.

William T. Lynch ... The fact is that whether one is a school student, or on a jury, or examining some new topics in later life, one really has to follow those a) to f) messages. If one wants to learn, one cannot reject new offerings. And a teacher can teach only if there is respect. Critical Thinking should require a free first pass for each new bit of knowledge; it is only after assimilation of that first message should questions be asked and true critical analysis takes place. I have reviewed thousands of papers for publication or presentation and I try never to notice the person's name or affiliation. For the second reading I allow myself to be quite critical. if one continually looks for flaws, one never sees truth. I was fortunate to have trustworthy teachers in all my earlier years. But nowadays people make objections much too early in conversation, and are never willing to let go their embedded absolutes in their thinking. bandglynch@gmail.com

PATENTS for DIGITAL VOTE COUNTING MACHINES are being pushed under the idea of digital democracy. Aka the inclusion of dei.

But they require *digital id. Which steps into digital programmable retractable currency.

And then how do you do a manual recount.

LL: That may be true, but that is not what this commentary is about...

You are correct in one major respect that most folks miss. It is the constant emphasis everywhere in America on the short term. By always pushing the “now”, we can be made to ignore the big picture.

Education is important, but the Left is not stupid. They know how to divert attention. Today we see their attempt to destroy our president’s moves to reverse the economic fiasco they created for us over 100 years ago. As you say, they are in this for the long run, and their plans do not include America succeeding. Their goal has always been to defeat Capitalism…period. There you have it in a single sentence, but who can see it?

Our education system has failed us since long before the DOE was invented in 1979. The DOE was just another step in their plan to destroy us. For instance, I was taught that John Maynard Keynes was correct and a controlled inflation rate of 1 to 2% annually was a stabilizing force and was justification for higher government involvement in our society. That was “common knowledge” in 1964! Many economists agreed, maybe most. But, it was 100% wrong in my opinion based on my study of all of this. But, the jury is still out because Democrats are Keynesians and may not even know it.

So, my critical thinking has led me to figure out how screwed up America is today and how we got here, but our education system was designed to keep me from figuring it out.

The good news is President Trump is on the job and he knows all of this. The huge stock market drop is my proof! The Left is still confusing America with diversions. The stock market should swoon with the idea of cutting taxes and using tariffs to fund a much smaller government. But, the market is being manipulated again to kill the tariff idea. The good news is Trump knows the Keynesian game plan and he is killing it. We are in an economic war for the future of America, and We the People are going to win again!

There you have Jim’s opinion based on his own critical analysis. That and $5.00 will get you a Grand Latte at Starbucks.

Jim: TY for clarifying that the serious problems with our K-12 education system preceded DOEd.
