In 1970, I was in Philadelphia with my five year old daughter...and we went to see the Liberty Bell. I think she even touched it. We also visited Boston and went to see Plymouth Rock, then drove north to Canada and stayed in the Frontenac Hotel in Quebec. My daughter got the traveling bug and has spent a lifetime traveling worldwide. As for me, I like to keep my feet on the ground...and have driven all over the United States. I have driven across the USA five times by myself...and five other times with family members.

Barbara: Good for you. I hope that you have spent an adequate amount of time in the largest park in the contenental U.S. the Adirondacks!

My husband and I camped out quite a bit in California; sleeping in sleeping bags under the stars. I grew up in Pennsylvania, but my father was not into camping. He was into physical fitness and we did a lot of biking, swimming and other sports. We swam in the mighty Allegheny River, before it became a stream, because of the hydroelectric dams. In 1955, we (my mom, sister, brother and i) drove to California in the summer, when i was 21 for a two week vacation. The drive was so hot, I could not face the drive back. I wound up getting a job , met my husband to be within two months, and remained in California for 64 years. My older daughter and I visited Utah over Mother's Day in 2019...and I saw a brand new house being built, which was affordable...I made an instant decision, and put bid on it, because our rent, in California, which was high already was going up. It went up to $5,000 a month. In less than three months we were moving in. The timing could not have been better...We missed the riots and lockdowns in California. We are so grateful to be out of California. We have a metal scroll on our wall, which says "BLESSED."

Barbara: TY for the very interesting background. What about the Adirondacks?

The Adirondacks are located in northeastern New York...and I don't believe that I have ever been there. I did drive through the Poconos in Penna...going thru New York on my way to Connecticut.

Barbara: Theadirondacks are the best part of New York State. The Pononos are nice, but it is not a park. Watch this very short video <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul-Axc4AGyo>.

I watched. Very impressive to see all that land area that was protected. I love trees and open spaces. I really don't like that President Trump isn't more into protecting our national forests and wild life.

I lived 2 decades at 42 Peck Slip built in 1873 with the Brooklyn Bridge & East River my view , and the Paris Cafe downstairs , named I'm sure for marketing purposes , when the French gifted the Statue of Liberty .

Thank you for sharing the questions and answers. And for highlighting our 250th birthday. May our country have another 250 in her.

Justin: Yes, that would be good — even another 50 at this point would be an accomplishment...
