That our education system is broken is not from neglect or incompetence or accident. It's by design. It started when John Dewey returned from visiting Stalin's Potemkin villages in 1923 and decided to re-shape American education in their image. Herbert Marcuse and György Lukácz and others had met at the Goethe Institut of the Frankfurt School to ponder the question "Why has the great proletarian revolution not swept the world?" Their conclusion: Not enough division. When Marcuse fled Germany in 1930 (because he was a Communist competing for the same socialist political niche, not because he was Jewish), he landed at Columbia. He developed Critical Theory, to which Angela Davis added Critical Race Theory. Those got into teachers' colleges, and now they (along with other nonsense) permeate the entire system.

John, I thought about subscribing just so that you could post your reply, but then it occurred to me that they would have suppressed it anyway so I decided against it. Great piece as always. Thanks.

John,

I read everything you send and never fail to be impressed and better informed by your observations.

Many thanks for your insights and persevering efforts. Rock on, Brother.

I may have previously sent you the attached essays. My memory––it's about as long as my little toe.

Oh, what I'd give to see this short piece in some of the national newspapers / broadcasters that it justifiably insults for refusing to share the truth of the matter with their subscribers. Thanks John. Very well said!

I've been trying (to no avail) to shame a CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Co) daily show host to interview just one of many independent experts (like yourself). I've fed him so many undeniable facts over the years that are counter to the CBC's take on the subject of AGW that it leaves me KNOWING that the CBC's goal is clearly NOT to convey the truth of the matter. Shameful, to put it mildly.

Because all these mainstream media outlets have such a firm grip on the minds and hearts of so many, I do believe it's imperative that the truth must be delivered through them or by them. Somehow!

Just left Medomak (fishing village in Lincoln Cty, Me) yesterday. Medomak economy: lobster and menhaden. Signs against the wind-farm movement put up by the fishermen had been up all last year, realize I saw none this trip.

VVV: Citizens need to be prepared for the long game with these types of issues. The Left is expecting that citizens will give up relatively quickly.

Thank you John--it may be that I was not looking, as I spent very few hours on mainland. Will try to remember to look next month.

Full support from a critical observer and cynical reader of mainstream media in New Zealand where our newly elected coalition government is attacked on every measure they attempt to pass by journalists portraying great ignorance of mainstream public thought. Our previous disastrous bad management under Jacinda Arden’s Labour Party assisted by incompetent Greens has left us in a precarious situation. A specific example, although there are many , is the absurd “zero carbon” energy policy. No science there!

Rosalie: Sorry to hear that. As here, the answer is that citizens need to be organized, educated, Critical Thinkers, so that they do not get bullied by Left-Wing agenda promoters.

The organization that runs this newspaper as well as others in Maine and elsewhere is the National Trust for Local News. A list of their supporters is at https://www.nationaltrustforlocalnews.org/supporters

JT: They are indeed "Creating a new future for community news" — and it has nothing to do with genuine journalism.

Thanks for this. For the fun of it, I checked out one of its top-level administrators and here's what her "word salad" biosketch says on LinkedIn:

"I lead culture, operations, and strategy at the National Trust for Local News, a non-profit newspaper company. As Chief of Staff, I solve problems, nurture relationships, and move from big-picture strategy to nuts-and-bolts implementation to sustain our titles in communities at risk of becoming news deserts.

I’m proud to have spent my entire career building dynamic and bold social impact organizations.

Big wind has been perfecting this deceptive marketing tactic out here in the plains for years. The average retail electric rate has risen by nearly 100% in Kansas since the first industrial scale wind installations were first introduced here. And the additional costs to rate payers due to extra transmission lines, backup generation, subsidies, and underutilized base load plants (coal and nuclear primarily) keeps piling up. This is a national crisis brought on by rabid, radical environmental policies that show no sign of abating until Americans wake up and realize they have been gaslighted for years...and critical thinking is the anadote. Thanks for another great piece, John!

Senator Thompson: TY for sharing your first-hand experiences with industrial wind in Kansas. Regretfully, your story has been replicated in numerous other places, onshore and offshore.

The problem is, there are no repercussions for publishing such editorial drivel, and most of the people who read it, believe it. Those who protest the sheer idiocy of the "green wave" powered by the environmentally destructive and unreliable intermittent energy sources, are vilified. Mention nuclear power and it triggers rabid and extremely hostile behavior. This is why I live on a mountain in Maine.

Great piece. Thank you. I live in New Bedford, MA where the city has allowed Vineyard Wind to destroy the city's waterfront by having them use the city pier as a take off point for the monstrous blades. One unit has already disintegrated before being used and has rained debris on the beaches of Nantucket requiring beach closures. The off shore wind companies are mostly foreign companies. The pay off climate NGOs to go along with their evils. ( See the Robert Bryce substack ). Whales, fish, and the fishing industry will suffer. Electric rates will sky rocket. The units have a short life and the blades are not recyclable. This is dirty green energy at it's finest. Do not be fooled by the industry's propaganda.
