Ballot corrections are likely a direct result of either: Programmed counting machines that accumulate undefined characteristics and come out as negative ballots OR machine operators who adjust the counts based on an undefined criteria. - a flip the switch action which reverses counts for example.
Scan, read, tabulate and report basic scanners have been around since the 50's. Five programmed steps with the fifth being reject /kick out irregular ballots for inspection. That's all that is needed to effect an accurate ballot count and report. No negative numbers, no "in-line" corrections as ballots with discrepancies are rejected and easy to collect. If states insist on using machines rather than hand count, then get back to the basic programmed machines which worked well for decades before.
We need to abolish electronic voting machines. It won't eliminate fraud entirely, just all the electronic fraud, which is already a considerable problem.

Unfortunately we only have a razor thin majority in the House and an adverse Senate so this suggestion might not be possible presently but there is a need for Federal law prohibiting the mass mail out of live ballots in Federal elections. Such a law in my not so humble opinion would go a long way toward solving the issue of having only votes of registered voters getting counted. I happened to be on the W. coast during the recall election against Newsome. In the background of the studio set I saw autos pulling up to voting drop boxes, likely putting in mailed out ballots, At that moment I knew Newsome would win.

We need to build new systems that make the old corrupted ones obsolete. That is humanity’s biggest problem right now. We have lost trust in all systems (government, food, academia, medicine, media and even science).
Our new systems must be corruption resistant, transparent, decentralized, and thus trustworthy. 100% built and controlled by the people.
We need a trustworthy place to go where ideas can percolate.
We fix it all with a brand new entity. A non profit network state run in a way that is super hard to corrupt: like this video explains.
