Post Modernism gave us Critical Theory, which gave us Woke.

The main premise of Post Modernism is that there can be no such thing as Objective Truth. Hence the Post Modernists accept that everyone can have their own truth.

So here is the rub: Truth must exist independently of observation or interpretation, or it is meaningless term.

Understand that when somebody talks about "their truths", they are really referring to their BELIEFS, but with the subjective belief that they are absolutely correct, in spite of any other evidence.

And this is why they say that a person with XY chromosomes can be a woman.

John is spot on in this article. Feelings aren’t truth. I’m an ex-educator/administrator and am currently a mental health counselor. I consistently tell my clients that “Feelings aren’t facts” and challenge their feelings with “What evidence do you have for these feelings?” Often they have nothing to offer. It’s much worse among children. They are highly emotional and are influenced by the emotions of their peers which leads them to believe anything without any critical thought. Critical thought is not encouraged in schools at all. As a matter of fact, if a student goes against the prevailing thought, they are often ostracized by their peers. In a school district I’m familiar with, a survey revealed that 45% of the student body felt they couldn’t speak up about conservative issues because they wouldn’t be heard or worse, they would be mocked. In one school during the first time that President Trump was running the teachers refused to discussed his platform and compare it to Hillary Clinton’s. It doesn’t matter which candidate you want for president, this was a golden opportunity to have a civil debate and to engender critical thinking. The students only got one side of the story. Thank you John for such clarity and boldness. I’ve shared this article with many.
